Brand new passenger tires typically start with 10/32's of an inch tread depth. If a tire has 9/32's tread the tire would have 90% of the original tread. Truck tires typically start out new in between 12/32's tread and 18/32's tread. Pennsylvania requires tires to have 3/32's of an inch tread to pass state inspection requirements. Lease vehicles typically require 4/32's of an inch of tread at the termination of the lease. The wear bars on tires are at 2/32's of an inch. Once your tires hit this point they need replaced ASAP. If you have questions regarding tread depth please contact us for immediate assistance.
