Brad Rea started all four years during his Pitt baseball career and concluded his time as “the most prolific offensive performer in the history of the Panther program.”
When he graduated, Brad owned school records for career at-bats (731), hits (237), runs (148), home runs (46), RBIs (198) and doubles (44). He also broke the single-season mark during his senior year for hits (76) and RBIs (66) and finished his final season batting .369 with 18 home runs and 43 runs scored. He was also named a Senior of Distinction and selected to the first team All-Big East as well as second team All-Big East.
Following his senior year, Brad was named an All-American and began a successful professional baseball career in which he played for four teams in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor league system (Bradenton, Hickory and Lynchburg twice) and two independent leagues.
As of February 2023, Brad is still the University of Pittsburgh’s career home run leader (46) and holds career total bases (428) and career RBIs (198).
After baseball, Brad began to put his business degree to work and joined a recycling company. He was shocked at how many tires with decent tread remaining ended up in landfills, so he founded Champtires in 2009 to resell premium used tires. THE CHAMPTIRES INSPECTION PROCESS
When you purchase tires from Champtires, your satisfaction is guaranteed. We’re able to do this
because we use a three-step inspection process to ensure that we are only selling the best used tires that do not have any holes or other defects.
Each tire is visually inspected for obvious defects such as nails, screws, broken beads and dry rot.
Then, tires are air-tested on our state-of-the-art Matteuzzi specialty testing equipment.
When a tire is purchased, it is given a final inspection and test before it ships.
